Sound Moderators Update

Hello,

We have just received notification that section 44 and Schedule 5 of the Crime and Policing Act 2026 has come into force today, this means that sound moderators are no longer permitted to be included on a firearms certificate. 

This will be introduced going forward from today, any sound moderators listed on your current firearms certificate will remain on there so there is no need to return your certificate for amendment at the moment, the sound moderators will be removed when you return your certificates for renewals, variations, change of addresses etc.
